Canoe\Kayak Whitewater Intro

The whitewater intro course is designed to build on your flatwater skills and give you a taste of whitewater.

The whitewater intro course provides some basic skill development, tuition, and on on-water practice

The whitewater intro course is based on the Yarra River at Clifford Park

Please note the location of all trips may change due to water level, water quality.

You must already hold a Canoe\Kayak Flatwater qualification to apply

You must be able to swim 50m with clothes on while wearing a PFD. The course is open to Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders.

A course letter will be supplied from the Paddle Team for clothing and equipment requirements after registration closes.

This course is non residential course. You will need to provide your food

Camping is available at Clifford Park. You will need to provide your own camping gear and food and supervising leader if under 18.

Canoe\Kayak Whitewater Level2

The Level 2 Whitewater course is designed to build on your flatwater skills and take you to the next level.

The Level 2 Whitewater course includes skill development, tuition, swift water rescue, and on on-water practice across a range of Grade 2 Victorian Rivers. Please note the location of all trips is varied and may change due to water level, water quality and other factors.

You must be able to swim 50m with clothes on while wearing a PFD. The course is open to Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders. Please refer to the booking sheets from the Canoe Team for clothing and equipment requirements.

Please note if you cannot swim you are not permitted to participate.

These trips involve either base camping or camping our of your boat. You will need to provide your own camping gear and food

$120, payable at registration for the season.
